on your own boat, or are involved in communicating with another vessel or Port
Control can definitely save lives. This one day certificated training programme
will give you practical advice on the use of your onboard VHF radio equipment.
Knowing
how to use the survival equipment onboard your vessel is essential knowledge for
the leisure or commercial sailor. This course of training will prepare you in
the unlikely event of your being forced to leave your vessel. In one day the course
covers the use of the liferaft (theory & practical), survival first aid, emergency
electronics such as Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons and other such
equipment.
This

when at sea, and will give you the knowledge and practical skills to cope with
most situations.
The course
offers the newcomer to the sport an introduction to Emergency Communications,
Survival at Sea, First Aid and the use of Fire fighting equipment commonly found
onboard todays leisure craft. It is offered as an introduction course, and participants
should, in due course attend the relevant full days training programme for each
of the elements included.
