Dinghy sailing is a fantastic sport, which rewards even a small amount of skill.  People of all abilities and ages can take part in the sport, either by themselves, as a team or a family.

Thanks to the support of the Montpelier Group, the RSYC Academy is pleased to be able to offer a new dinghy sailing programme for children and adults.

The RSYC - Montpelier dinghy programme will offer a full range of dinghy courses to accommodate both the absolute beginner and those with some experience.

Our dinghy sailing programmes for both Juniors and Adults are based on the syllabus of the Royal Yachting Associations Dinghy Sailing Scheme, a tried and tested programme of Instruction.

The programme is broken into Junior and Adult courses, with each of the two programmes offering courses for those who have never sailed before, and taking them to a level were they are confident on the water and in control of their sailing dinghy. The more experienced sailor can come into the programme at a higher level by doing direct assessment on their skills at specific points in the programme.

 





This 2 day course introduces you to the sport of Dinghy Racing, with an aim of getting you participating in the dinghy racing activities at Royal Selangor Yacht Club.  If you have not got your own boat, you can charter a boat from the clubs training fleet once you have passed this course.
